乾头村位于福鼎、柘荣、泰顺三县（市）交界处，距集镇约10公里，管沈公路穿村而过。村名原作乾头钱村，据说因旧时出过富有的地主，后简称为乾头。[1][2]

1969年设乾头大队，1987年设乾头村民委员会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

省爱卫办于2021年11月授牌，乾头村成为「2021年福建省卫生村」。2022年3月，村庄被命名为「2021年福鼎市平安村（社区）」。[1]
