村庄位于溪谷平原之上，平均海拔420至500米，沿河两岸地势平坦，土质肥沃。村中主要种植茶叶、水稻、马铃薯和蚕豌豆。[2]
占地15180亩，其中林地12321亩，水田659亩，茶园2200亩。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2024年1月，后井村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」；2022年3月，被命名为「2021年福鼎市平安村（社区）」。[2]
