叶克守将军曾任福建省军区副司令员，其故居位于村中。[1]
据福鼎市人民政府，村子也是钱塘江守备司令池方喜的故乡。[2]
茶产业[edit]
村域面积约6.3平方千米，茶园2400多亩，林地4766亩。村内茶叶企业共12家，两家为宁德市龙头企业，另有四家已取得认证。[2]
村里设有白茶专业合作社2个。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2022年10月，省农业农村厅将翁溪村列为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]
