地名由来[edit]
村落位于岭头的平地之上，故名岭头坪。[2]
行政区划与人口[edit]
村下辖8个自然村，设8个村民小组。全村共182户，计744人；外出者430人，留守常住的314人。村内有党员30人。[1]
自然资源与生计[edit]
全村茶园2600多亩，林地5400亩，农地610亩，另有水田1230亩。稻米、茶叶与毛竹是村民的主要生计，也有人外出打工。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1959年设岭头坪大队；1987年10月设岭头坪村民委员会。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2022年3月，村被命名为「2021年福鼎市平安村（社区）」。[2]
