地名由来[edit]
据博雅地名网，早先卢姓人在此居住，村分上下两处，村内原有打铁炉，位于下处，因此得名下炉。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
土改时此地属白琳乡，1956年自白琳划出，改属立康山乡；1969年归白琳公社康山大队，1987年自康山大队分出，设下炉村民委员会。[2]
地理环境[edit]
村地处丘陵，温福铁路穿村而过，距沈海高速互通口约10公里。土地总面积4.378平方千米，山地1919亩，生态公益林1919亩。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
三福寺建于南宋，寺院为近代重建。寺门前十米处并立着三福寺双塔，建于明永乐九年（1411年）。塔为楼阁式的仿木砖构，共七层，平面六角、实心，塔身高约7.8米。1986年省人民政府拨款修缮，双塔后列为省级文物保护单位（第六批）。[3][4]

2022年3月，村被命名为「2021年福鼎市平安村（社区）」。[2]
