赤溪村是福建省宁德市福鼎市磻溪镇下辖的行政村，位于镇东南部，地处国家5A级的太姥山西南麓，与霞浦县相邻，距镇政府约26公里。村子因「中国扶贫第一村」而为人所知，是畲族聚居的少数民族村。全村辖1个中心村和2个自然村，共418户。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

赤溪洋中有七条大小溪流，因而称「七溪」。另据史载，溪畔田地中发现过大量漆树的根株，又称「漆溪」，后来音转为今名。[1]

村域面积约9平方千米，其中水域面积约1.2平方千米，耕地约1420亩。[1]

扶贫与荣誉[edit]

习近平总书记于2016年2月19日与赤溪村的干部群众视频连线，对乡亲们的生活表示祝愿。据百度百科，2017年11月，该村获评「2017名村影响力排行榜300佳」。[2]
