磻溪镇是福建省宁德市福鼎市下辖的镇，位于市境西南部，地处太姥山西麓，是福鼎市地域面积最大的乡镇。全镇辖18个行政村。[4]境内山多林密，茶叶、竹木、淡水养殖与水利资源是主要的经济基础，镇域属于福鼎白茶的核心产区。[1][3][6]
地名由来[edit]
早先村舍沿溪畔而建，遂以「畔溪」为名，后改用雅致的字写作磻溪，沿用至今。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
清初此地隶属福宁府霞浦县劝儒乡，之后划入鼎邑十三都。1911年设磻溪区，1940年改称磻溪乡。[1]
1949年归点头区管辖，1950年改属白琳区，1952年由白琳区析出，重设磻溪区。1958年组建磻溪人民公社，1961年复为区，1968年再次设为公社，1983年又改为区，1987年改设磻溪乡，1993年改为镇。[1][3]
地理与气候[edit]
镇境属中亚热带季风气候，冬季少有严寒，夏季少有酷暑，年平均气温约16.4摄氏度。[1]
人口[edit]
据百度百科，2018年末磻溪镇户籍人口为29622人。博雅地名网另载全镇人口约1.21万人，未注明年份，两者相差悬殊，故以有年份的数字为准。[2][3]
经济[edit]
镇内茶叶、竹木、淡水养殖与水利矿藏资源较为丰富，茶叶是当地的主导产业，镇域属于福鼎白茶的核心产区。[1][6]
名胜古迹[edit]
九鲤溪坐落在太姥山西侧的山麓，属于太姥山风景区的一部分。游人可乘坐竹筏顺流而下，沿途经过多处滩流。[2]
桑园水库于1992年开工，1995年正式下闸蓄水，拦河坝为三心双曲变厚砌石拱坝，坝高84.2米，在建成时是福建省最高的砌石拱坝。库区水面称桑翠湖，湖中散布着几座小岛。[2][5]
镇内瀑布较多，其中龙亭瀑落差136米，据博雅地名网所载，是福建省最高的单级瀑布。[2]
南广村境内有宋代古窑址，当地不时能拾到古碗残片，据村民传说，尚有未被发现的碗窑。[2]
溪口的后畲宫始建于明末清初，每逢正月十五、三月初三和六月十九等节日，附近畲族青年聚集于此对唱山歌。[2]

博雅地名网收录了几位与磻溪镇相关的人物，其中郑丹甫生卒年为1910年至1983年，张朝发为1795年至1840年，林滋秀为1778年至1833年；另有林汝浃、杨楫与刘洪建三人。[1]
荣誉[edit]
环境保护部在2014年9月把「2012年—2013年度国家级生态乡镇」的称号给了磻溪。福建省爱卫办于2020年12月认定其「福建省卫生乡镇」身份。2021年2月，磻溪上榜「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单；2022年3月，又被评为「2021年福鼎市平安乡镇（街道）」。[1]
