地名由来[edit]
村中旱地较多，出产地瓜，村因此得名瓜园。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1958年为瓜园生产大队，1977年改为瓜园乡，1987年才转为村民委员会。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
村内的张朝发墓是省级文物保护单位。张朝发为清代抗倭将领，任镇海总兵，墓葬建于清代。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2021年11月，瓜园村获评2021年福建省卫生村，由福建省爱卫办公布。[1]
