太阳头村隶属福建省宁德市福鼎市太姥山镇，为一个行政村，位于镇北部，北接吉坑村，南靠潋城村，西面与彭坑村相邻。[1]
村名因地处东端、日出时最先被照到而得名。村的组织形式多次更替，1987年才定为村民委员会。[1]

村子位于东端，太阳升起时最先照到此处，因而得名。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1958年村为佳阳大队，1982年恢复为佳阳乡，1987年才改为太阳头村民委员会。[1]
