屯头村隶属福建省宁德市福鼎市太姥山镇，为一个行政村，位于集镇东北方约2公里，东南靠海，与日澳村相连。[1][2]
村名源于明代海边靠山处所设的小埠头及驻守兵丁。1949年设屯头乡，1987年村民委员会建立。2024年1月，村获评2023年福建省卫生村。[1]
地名由来[edit]
明代为防备倭寇，官府在临海靠山处修建了一座小埠头并派兵驻守，此地由此称屯头。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1949年设屯头乡，此后经大队阶段，于1987年转为村民委员会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2024年1月，屯头村获评2023年福建省卫生村。[1]
