店下镇是福建省宁德市福鼎市下辖的镇，位于市境东南沿海，东临沙埕港，西面与太姥山风景区相连。镇内以农业为主，兼有沿海渔业，粮食、茶叶和水果是主要的农作物。[1]

地名由来[edit]

旧时，在今硋窑村岭东的官道边立有一座岭店亭，亭旁开着小店，一条山岭从那里一直延伸到海边。往来行人便把后来在小店下方围海造田、筑堡定居的地方叫作「店下」，地名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国38年（1949年）6月，店下设为乡，属第二区（秦屿）。1950年6月设第六区店下，1952年5月改为第四区。1958年8月撤区、乡（镇）建立人民公社，店下设店下人民公社；1959年4月，原有的小公社并为大公社，店下为其中之一。[2]

1982年至1983年，店下公社改称为区；1987年7月进行区改乡，至1990年底，全县设有7个镇，店下镇是其中之一。1999年6月，经宁德地区行署决定，龙安开发区划离店下镇。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

马栏山遗址位于洋中村北，遗物以石器为主，博雅地名网称其距今已有4000多年。它是第三批福建省文物保护单位，属于省级文物。[3][4]

巽城村为福建省历史文化名村，并列入第一批中国传统村落名录，村中保存有古道、渡口、祠堂与清代大厝等建筑，详见该村条目。[5]
