台山村位于福鼎市东南海域，由东台、西台两个自然村组成，村域所在的台山岛是福鼎市有人居住、离陆地最远的典型生态海岛之一。[1]

地理环境[edit]

该岛位于东经120度41分、北纬27度00分一带，身处闽东渔场的中心，距沙埕港18海里，距大陆最近处14.45海里。岛群包括西台山、东台山、斗笠屿等岛屿，共有15个岛屿和22个礁，总面积3.57平方千米。[1]

人口与产业[edit]

据博雅地名网，村中有193户、428人，另有驻岛官兵及外来打工人员。全村九成以上人口从事渔业生产作业。[1]

保护与荣誉[edit]

2003年8月，台山岛被宁德市政府列入厚壳贻贝繁殖保护区。该岛也是国家海洋气象观测的重要站点之一。2013年6月，台山岛被评为首批「福建十大美丽海岛」。[1]
