薛家村位于前岐镇区西北部，村委会距集镇约5.6公里，村名以薛家岙村前两字命名。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村庄为丘陵地貌，土质以黄壤为主，平均海拔230多米。境内有牛头溪水库，博雅地名网称其为福鼎市最大的「小一型」水库。[1]

人口民族[edit]

村民中有畲族居民。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

土改时期，此地为薛家乡。1956年分设沙坑、薛家两个大队，1969年两者又合为一个薛家大队；1987年，改称薛家村民委员会。[1]

文化[edit]

2022年3月，薛家村被命名为「2021年福鼎市平安村（社区）」。[1]

2023年10月，薛家村被确定为「2023年度宁德市一村一品专业村」。[1]

2024年11月，薛家村被认定为「2024年度福建省一村一品专业村」（山羊养殖）。[1]
