前岐镇是福建省宁德市福鼎市下辖的镇，位于市境东北部，地处闽浙交界，北与浙江省苍南县接壤，与矾山镇相邻。[1][3]

镇名的来历有两种说法：博雅地名网称因政府驻地前岐得名，地在岐山之阳，别称岐阳；百度百科则说镇名取自前岐山。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，此地1911年为前岐区，1940年改为前岐镇。[1]

福鼎解放初，全县划为四区一镇，前岐区管辖原前岐镇，并辖沙埕、桥亭、佳阳等乡。[4]

1958年前岐改设人民公社；1961年起以镇的建制归区管辖，1963年仍为区辖镇。[4]

1982年8月至1983年11月，福鼎进行体制改革，前岐公社改称前岐区，前岐镇与秦屿等地同为区属镇。[4]

1987年，前岐区复为前岐镇。[1][3]

2001年1月，佳阳乡从前岐镇划出设立；2009年2月，佳阳乡改设为佳阳畲族乡。[4]

地理环境[edit]

全镇土地面积为99.11平方千米，陆地占85平方千米，余下13.7平方千米为水域。[3]

沿海有前岐、双岳两处围海垦区；海岸建有姚家屿码头。[2]

省道沙吕线横穿东西，姚矾公路纵贯南北，水陆交通比较便利。[2]

经济[edit]

四季柚与白色双孢蘑菇是镇里的两项特色产品，2001年两者同获省级名牌农产品称号。[2]

文化[edit]

镇上设有福鼎二中与福鼎慈济中学两所中学。[2]

2014年7月，前岐镇被住房和城乡建设部等七部委确定为「全国重点镇」。[1]

2022年3月，前岐镇被命名为「2021年福鼎市平安乡镇（街道）」；2024年1月，又被命名为「2023年福建省卫生乡镇」。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

位于照澜村的宋代巡检司遗迹经过复原，与古碇步、古水碓、古法碾米场等遗迹同在村中。[5]

位于熊岭村李家山自然村的「鼎平临时省委第十次扩大会议遗址」，以及红军亭、合抱枫、红军井等革命遗迹，都是抗战时期粟裕、刘英等人活动过的地方。[6][7]

凤桐村有500多年历史的宝云寺，村内另有郑氏文化遗产。[8]
