大岚头村位于山前街道东部山区，依山面海，距市区约3公里，南与百胜村接壤，东与灰窑村、罾坪村、梅溪村交界，北连南阳村。[1]
地名由来[edit]
早年此地是一片大森林，常有雾气笼罩，地名由此而来。[1]
人口与村貌[edit]
据2023年发布的村情介绍，全村有277户，户籍人口1270人，常住人口为282人。[2]
村民多为郑、叶、王等姓，已在此繁衍数百年。[3]
村内辖6个自然村，分别为大岚头、下坑、上坑、洋棋、青山和白石。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
村子原属南阳村管辖，1991年从南阳村析出设立。博雅地名网的历史沿革一栏则记为1990年设立大岚头村民委员会，两种说法并存。[1][3]
2022年3月，村被命名为「2021年福鼎市平安村（社区）」。[1]
2022年10月，村被认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]
2024年2月，村被确定为「第二批福建省乡村振兴示范村镇」创建对象；同年6月入选「福建省第四批高级版绿盈乡村」。[1]
物产与经济[edit]
据2023年村情介绍，全村有水田334亩，农地618亩，林地2274亩。[2]
主要作物有茶叶、杨梅、竹笋、橙和苦柑。[3]
