南乾村位于福鼎市山前街道东南侧，距街道办事处约8公里，濒临沿海，在双岳垦区之内。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村子祖先姓王，原住桐山前店。先人常到此地捕鱼，因路途远、往返不便，起名「难行」。后来定居在此，地名谐音演变为南墘，又改称南乾。「乾」有阳的意思，村子坐北朝南，故取此名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

此地原叫山门里，1965年起称南乾生产队，1987年才设南乾村民委员会。[1]

位置与人口[edit]

村子辖3个自然村、5个村民小组，村里居民有南溪库区移民，也有少数民族。[1]
