灰窑村位于福鼎市城东，靠近桐江溪下游，依山傍海，属城乡结合带。[1]

地名由来[edit]

民国时期，村民大多靠建窑烧灰为生，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村子1952年称向阳大队，1981年分队，设灰窑管理区，归桐山镇管辖，1987年改设灰窑村民委员会。[1]

2022年3月，村被命名为「2021年福鼎市平安村（社区）」。[1]

交通与经济[edit]

沈海高速公路、104国道与南江滨大道都经过村境。[1]

村民多靠搬运仓储和短途运输谋生，少数人种些农作物自给。村里没有村办企业，村中多数土地在近年城市建设中被征用。[1][2]
