石亭社区位于福鼎市东部，地处山前街道办事处所在的城东开发新区一带，属主城区，与街道内多个村庄和社区相邻。[1]
地名由来[edit]
社区里原有一座年代久远的石碑亭，社区因此得名。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
社区1999年有了居民委员会，2003年改为社区居民委员会，地名沿用到现在。[1]
2013年设立社区党委。[2]
2022年3月，社区被命名为「2021年福鼎市平安村（社区）」。[1]
