玉塘村是福建省宁德市福鼎市桐城街道下辖的行政村，位于福鼎城南的城乡结合部。村名因地处海边围塘之内而得。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村域先为1953年的玉塘小公社，继而于1959年成为玉塘生产大队；1982年曾叫塘底乡，1988年方设玉塘村民委员会。[1]
文物古迹[edit]
玉塘城堡旧名塘底堡，明嘉靖三十九年（1560年）为抗御倭寇而建，由村中夏姓人家集资兴建。城墙以花岗岩石砌成，现存东、西、南三门。明代将领戚继光曾驻兵于此。2013年1月28日，福建省人民政府公布其为第八批省级文物保护单位。[2][3]
经济与荣誉[edit]
2022年10月，玉塘村列入「2022年淘宝村」名单。2023年10月，被确定为「2023年度宁德市一村一品专业村」。[1]
