十字社区位于福鼎市城区中心，是桐山街道下辖的社区，东靠桐山溪，西抵溪西小学，北面是北市场，南面直到新时代商厦一带。社区也是市委、市政府所在地。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

社区得名于此处一条大街与一条小巷交叉成的十字形路口。[1]

1981年重新设立十字居委会，2002年再改为社区居委会。[1]

2022年3月，十字社区被命名为「2021年福鼎市平安村（社区）」。[1]
