桐山街道是福建省宁德市福鼎市下辖的街道，位于福鼎市北部。1739年（乾隆四年）福鼎置县，以桐山营旧堡为城，此后这里长期是县治所在。[2][3]

地名因古时山间多桐树而来，两条溪流夹流其间，故又称桐川。[1]据百度百科，截至2011年末，街道总人口为52826人。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期这里设过区，之后改为镇。新中国成立后建制屡有变动：先设桐山区，后恢复为镇，一度组建人民公社，1970年又改称城关公社。1981年8月，城关公社划出四个街道与三个大队，桐山镇随即恢复。[1]

1998年10月，桐山镇与桐城镇撤销后分置为桐山、桐城、山前三个街道办事处，桐山由此改制为街道。[2][4]

行政区划[edit]

据百度百科，截至2021年10月，街道辖9个社区和4个行政村。[3]

2021年，镇西村撤销，其地分设西园社区与岙里社区。[5]

2022年3月，街道被命名为「2021年福鼎市平安乡镇（街道）」。[1]

街道位于福鼎市北部，东面与山前街道相连，南面接壤桐城街道，西面与叠石乡毗邻。[3]

区域面积，百度百科载为31.65平方千米，博雅地名网载约39.96平方千米，两者所据年份均未注明。[3][1]
