博雅地名网载，村前对面有一座小屿，小屿四周滩涂广阔，因有鹳鸟栖息而得名。百度百科称该村原名鹳屿，后演变为现称。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年隶属上屿乡，1954年划归上安乡。1960年划为半屿公社的辖区，下设半屿生产大队；1966年7月归入湾坞公社，此后称半屿大队。1984年更名为半屿村委会，此名延续至今。[1][3]

经济与宗教[edit]

据百度百科，村子早先以水产养殖和运输为主，20世纪70年代发展造船业，并开展围垦工程。[2]

村内设有天主教、基督教和佛教的宗教场所。[2]
