牛岭尾村在康厝畲族乡境内，村庄地处周宁生岭的尾部，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

早年隶属象牛乡。1961年小公社成立后归渡头公社，1966年设岭尾大队。1981年6月，因与他村重名，改用别名作标准名，更名为牛岭尾大队。1984年设村委会。[1]

据百度百科，村庄建于1657年。[2]

文化[edit]

2021年11月，牛岭尾村被福建省爱卫办命名为2021年福建省卫生村。[1]
