象地村在康厝畲族乡境内。相传明代一头耕牛产下一只象仔，此事传为奇闻，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

早年隶属牛乡。1961年归渡头小公社，名为象地村；1966年随康厝公社设立而成为象地大队；1984年改设象地村民委员会。[1]

文化[edit]

2021年11月，象地村被福建省爱卫办命名为2021年福建省卫生村。[1]
