长潭村在康厝畲族乡东部，村名来自建村时村前一片狭长的水潭。全村共四个自然村，依次为周坑、杨梅村、长潭上村与长潭下村。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

早年先归凤洋乡，之后划入桂林乡。1958年成为洋溪小公社的一部分；1966年7月并入金斗洋大队，直到1977年才另设长潭大队。1984年改设长潭村委会。[1]

人口民族[edit]

2021年，村民为213户791人。[2]

地理环境[edit]

村落坐北朝南，北靠后门山顶，与穆云乡接壤；东邻金斗洋村，南边隔穆阳溪与小浦线相望。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

村前东西向的龙溪水利，其上的金潭大桥由长潭、金斗洋两村共建，桥长28米。[2]

村中有忠平候王宫，有古居民十多座，均保留「三雕」景观。一只古铜炉底部铸有「大明宣德制」字样。[2]

文化[edit]

2021年11月，长潭村被福建省爱卫办命名为2021年福建省卫生村。[1]
