红坪村在康厝畲族乡东南部，离乡政府约1.5公里，是少数民族行政村，辖红坪、仙岭2个自然村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名原作兰坪，因早年兰姓人家在此定居。当地人觉得「红」字更吉利，遂改作红坪。[1]

村落坐南，故又名「南蛮」「南坪」。20世纪50年代初改称「蓝坪」，1965年因广种红萍，改为现名。[2]

1950年时属兰坪乡，1958年改设兰坪大队，1984年改为红坪村委会。[1]

2021年11月，福建省爱卫办将红坪村命名为2021年福建省卫生村。[1]

文化[edit]

六十年代的红坪，是民族工作的试点村。畲族历史传承完整，「二月二」「三月三」仍保持唱畲歌、穿畲装、制乌米饭、包菅粽等习俗。[2]
