燕坑村属福安市穆云畲族乡，与岭坑、温岩、桥溪等村相邻。[1]

村名的来由：取燕窝、险坑两个自然村各一字合成。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

土改时归燕桥乡管辖。1961至1966年间归贵洋小公社，1966年下半年改设燕洋大队；1977年与岭坑分开，改称燕坑大队；1984年改设村民委员会。[1]
