村名的来由：先人建村时，择了一处地势低洼的坑地，在其中修筑楼屋，故称里楼。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1982年，自温岩大队划出，另立里楼大队；1984年改设村民委员会。[1]

2023年12月，里楼村被认定为「2023年度福建省一村一品专业村（红茶）」。[1]

2020年12月，里楼村入选「2020年福建省森林村庄」名单。[1]
