穆云畲族乡位于福安市西部，北邻社口镇与晓阳镇，东接坂中畲族乡，下辖33个行政村。[1][2]

乡名的来历与地理和人口有关：此地在白云山之南，又以畲族居民居多。1984年10月，由穆阳公社分出，设为乡一级建制。白云山风景名胜区的一部分伸入乡境，乡内另有以虎头桃源和溪塔葡萄沟为主体的生态旅游区。[1][2][3][4]

1949年此处隶属第四区公所，1955年改归穆阳区公所。1958年设穆阳人民公社，1966年一度撤区并社后仍称穆阳人民公社。1984年设乡。[1][2]

近年获得的荣誉包括：2016年12月，国家民委命名为「第四批全国民族团结进步创建活动示范单位」；2020年4月，被确定为「2019年度福建省乡村振兴重点特色乡（镇）」；同年5月，列入「2020年农业产业强镇建设名单」；2021年5月，入选「2022年度福建省乡村振兴示范乡镇创建名单」；2023年8月，穆云畲族乡（水蜜桃）入选农业农村部、财政部公布的「首批国家农业产业强镇」；2023年12月，获「2023年度福建省森林乡镇」称号；2025年3月，列为「福建省第一批省级乡村振兴示范乡镇」。[1]

乡境位于白云山以南的山地之间，穆阳溪流经其中，东西相距最远约18千米。[1][2]

据百度百科，2018年乡域户籍人口为25671人。博雅地名网所载人口数字与之不同，且未注年份，本条目不取。[2][1]

经济[edit]

农作物以水稻和薯类为大宗，另产水蜜桃、茶叶，并出产竹木。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

白云山风景名胜区的一部分在乡境内，与晓阳镇相接，面积约67平方千米。2009年12月，它被定为国家级风景名胜区；次年10月，与太姥山、白水洋一道申报为宁德世界地质公园；2014年6月，列入「国家4A级旅游景区」。[3]

穆云畲族乡生态旅游区属「国家3A级旅游景区」，由虎头桃源与溪塔葡萄沟两部分组成。前者以穆阳水蜜桃闻名，每年三月桃花连片开放；后者沿溪而种，刺葡萄连成长沟。[4]
