村子在湾坞北部的偏远山区，位于炉山、半岭两座水库的上游，海拔280米。这里是少数民族聚居的村庄，全村有147户、525人。[1]
地名由来[edit]
村名各取「福田边」「上半岭」两个自然村名中的一字而成。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1950年村子属炉山乡管辖。1960年划入炉山小公社，同时成立福岭生产大队；1966年7月转归湾坞公社，大队名不变。1984年起为村委会。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村辖7个自然村。村里田地260亩，山地2860亩，森林覆盖率达97%。[1][2]

产业以中药材和水果为主。[1]
