白莲村位于湾坞镇北部山区，海拔520米，村域面积8平方千米，建村已有720多年。全村辖白莲、茶瓶坵2个自然村。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村前的山形似五片叶子合抱的莲花，故名。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村域内最高峰燕子岗，海拔690米。林地面积8200亩，森林覆盖率98%；耕地763亩，水田占380亩。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村子已有720多年的历史。1984年设立白莲村委会，沿用至今。[1]

革命历史[edit]

福安革命史记有白莲的8位烈士，林成如曾任白莲苏维埃政府主席，也是其中之一。[1]

经济[edit]

主要产业为水稻、茶叶、果树和蔬菜。改革开放初期，不少村民外出经商，近年又有村民回乡创业，村内现有茶叶、油茶等民营企业。[1][2]
