东坪村是溪柄镇的一个行政村，村名取自辖区内东山及下金竹坪、三坪等地名中的“东”“坪”二字。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期，东坪一带属福安县用儒乡仁风里。民国时期属赛岐区柏洋乡。[2]东山高级社创办于1956年，东山大队于1958年8月设立；1981年东山大队恢复建制，1984年组建东坪村委会。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

村东向的顶头大厝内，有建于民国年间的闽东红军独立团后方医院旧址。该建筑为土木结构的合院式楼房，至今保存着「闽东红军独立团后方医院」的小木框。[3][4]

2013年2月20日，福安市人民政府将其公布为「第五批市级文物保护单位」。[3]
