榕头村是溪柄镇的一个行政村，村中有兴云寺大雄宝殿这一古建筑。[3]村名来源于村口的一株“九头榕”奇树。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年设洋头大队，隶属溪柄公社；1984年改称榕头村民委员会。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

兴云寺大雄宝殿在村南约300米的山林中，创建年代可追溯到宋元符年间（1098年至1100年），现存建筑则是清乾隆四十一年（1776年）重建的，殿内保存有明代神龛。[3]

荣誉[edit]

2019年6月，榕头村被福建省人民政府列为「第六批福建省历史文化名镇名村」；2021年11月，获得「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]
