扆山村位于溪柄镇驻地附近，距镇所在地约1.5千米，距福安市区约18千米，海拔15米。[1][2]村名的由来是村子背靠青山，身后两座山如古时的屏风，挡住了风。[3]

地理环境[edit]

村子右侧临交溪（赛江），与水田村隔江相望；左边与北山、立峰两村毗邻。村前面向开阔的田野，与溪柄村接壤。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

民国30年（1941年）为福安县第一区（赛岐）溪缠乡的扆田保。1956年村里办起高级社，1958年8月设扆山大队，1961年一分为上、下两个大队，1968年合为一个，1981年回到扆山大队的名称，村民委员会则在1984年建立。[2]
