北山村位于溪柄镇东北面，离镇驻地约2.4千米，海拔15米；村委会设在北山自然村。[1]村名来自村子北面的一座山，并以驻地村名定名。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期，北山一带属福安县用儒乡仁风里。民国30年（1941年）属福安县第一区（赛岐区）溪缠乡的葛岩保。[3]

北山高级社办于1956年，1958年8月组成红星大队，村民委员会在1984年建立。[3]
