兴龙社区是溪柄镇的一个居民委员会，属镇中心区，溪柄镇人民政府即设在兴龙街。[5]社区名取“兴隆发达”的寓意，“龙”字寄托着人们的美好期望。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期与民国之初，这一带属于溪柄。解放初，从溪柄保中析出，设立溪柄街居委会，负责居民户的户籍证明、粮关系转移，以及调解民间纠纷等事务。[1][4]

文革期间，这个居委会一度被撤销，事务改由溪柄公社暂管。1982年，居委会得以重设，同时成立党支部；之后它改名为兴龙居民委员会。[1][3][4]
