1958年成立临江大队，1992年改称林江村。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村子属丘陵地貌，气候为亚热带海洋性气候。全村下辖9个自然村。[1]
文化[edit]
2019年，该村列入宁德市美丽乡村建设的村庄名单。[1]
2022年10月，省农业农村厅认定林江为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]
2026年1月，林江村被确定为「福建省2026年度乡村振兴示范村」。[1]
