仙洋村在溪尾镇东北边的山区，离镇区约8公里，属革命老区基点村。村名与村旁的一条溪流有关。[1]
地名与历史沿革[edit]
村旁有溪流，当地人称之为仙洋，村名由此而来；另一说法称村口有一对形如仙人脚印的石痕。[1]
清乾隆六年（1741年），赛岐苏洋的刘氏迁来定居，此后张氏、宋氏等也陆续迁入。[1]
1934年，全村总人口350多人，村中设有乡苏维埃政府。据记载，村民参加红军者约占九成。[1]
20世纪60年代，因“仙”字不宜作村名，改称新洋村。2016年，市里批准把村名改回仙洋。[1]
文化[edit]
2019年12月，村子进入第一批国家森林乡村名单。[1]
2021年11月，该村获评「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
