远杞村位于下白石镇东南白马河畔，距镇区约10公里。村名的来历：村地形似椅子，原名“远椅”，方言中“椅”与“杞”同音，遂写作远杞。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

建国初属湖头乡，1960年隶属樟栏公社樟澳大队，1982年分出为远杞大队，1984年改设远杞村委会。[1]

概况[edit]

据百度百科，全村113户、413人，设4个村民小组。耕地257亩，林地1349亩；以种植特晚熟龙眼（约48亩）和养殖海蛏为主。[2]
