通湾洋村位于下白石镇西部，东临白马港，南接三都澳，距镇区约2.5公里。村名的来历：村前有大片田洋，唐末黄巢起义时汤姓人家在此居住，故称汤湾洋；清代兰姓迁入后，改“汤”字为“通”。[1][2]

据百度百科，村中共有8个自然村，双岩、南门等均在其内。耕地约350亩，林地570亩，山地则有约5462亩。全村人口为817人，其中畲族约六成。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

村内的双岩禅林寺始建于宋代，寺中留有王十朋的题诗。[2]
