地名由来[edit]
村名为纪念闽东革命烈士阮英平而定。村中有20多人参加革命，其中6人被追认为革命烈士。[1][2]
村内设有阮英平烈士纪念室，并建有红色文化教育基地。[1][3]
历史沿革[edit]
建国初村地属顶头乡，1956年设英平大队，1958年归顶头公社。1970年并入顶头大队，1980年复设英平大队，1984年改设村委会。[1]
