铜坑里村是甘棠镇西部半山区的畲族行政村，海拔256米，距镇区约12.5公里。村内现存明代正德年间开采铜矿留下的洞遗址。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

村址在古时曾开采过铜矿，故名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1961年设铜坑里大队，1966年与何厝合为一个大队；1982年又从何厝分出，恢复铜坑里大队，1984年改为村民委员会。[1]

搬迁[edit]

村子旧居交通不便。从1994年起，三处自然村的村民陆续通过造福工程搬离旧址，截至2006年前后，都已依新村规划迁入交通便利的新址。[1]

概况[edit]

据百度百科，村辖的人口以畲族为主，其中畲族占53%，村内设有卫生所一所。辖区下设油西坑一个自然村。[2] 据博雅地名网所载，村内有3个村民小组，村民101户、357人，田地183亩，山地2356亩，森林覆盖率77.23%，主要产业为茶叶和毛竹。[1]

据博雅地名网所载，本村先后获「党建示范村」（2016年）、「中国传统村落」（2014年）和「中国历史文化名村」（2019年）等称号。[1]
