牛柏洋村是甘棠镇西南部的村庄，位于104国道旁，距镇政府驻地约3公里，海拔5米。全村下辖4个自然村。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村边的山形如牛角，村前有一片平地，原称「牛角洋」，后来方言读音相近，衍为今名。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

明嘉靖四十年（1561年）已有村落。1950年归甘棠区倪洋乡，此后并入甘棠公社的大队，1984年改为牛柏洋村民委员会，沿用至今。[3]

据博雅地名网概况，村辖土地约2.1平方公里，全村385户家庭、1391名村民（年份未载），分为14个村民小组。田地3150亩，山地1311亩，森林覆盖率52.54%。村集体曾入股福安市铁湖工业区和甘棠莲悦茶叶有限公司。[4]
