甘江村是甘棠镇东部沿海的渔民村，东临外塘村，海拔20米，距镇政府驻地约1公里。[1]
地名由来[edit]
概况[edit]
据博雅地名网概况，村子以务工和捕鱼为主业，村内有240户、844人（年份未载），田地115.8亩，山地167.97亩，森林覆盖率30%。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
1955年，此地由赛岐镇划归甘棠，设甘江乡。次年组建渔业高级社，1958年改制为大队。1984年，水上渔民与亭江自然村一同组成甘江村委会。[3]
搬迁与建设[edit]
1997年11月，甘江渔民新村落成，29户渔民共143人上岸迁居。[2] 2018年，村子被评为「党建示范村」。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2024年2月，本村成为省里乡村振兴示范村镇的第二批创建对象之一。[1]
