周家山村在溪潭镇西部的偏远山区，海拔500多米，土地面积35平方公里，自然村2个。全村设2个村民小组，村民157户、532人（2024年村情简介所载）。1981年5月另设周家山大队，1984年起为周家山村委会。2019年，村庄入选第五批中国传统村落。[1][2]
