双峰村在溪边山下的岩壁上留有廉溪摩崖石刻，楷书刻字，博雅地名网记其年代为清道光壬辰（1832）。村的建制始于1958年，当年设双峰大队；1984年改设双峰村委会。村属溪潭镇四个纯天主教行政村之一。[1][2]
