村庄位于一处名为谢岭的山岭之下，故名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年此地属后洋乡，称谢岭下村；1958年划入竹岭管理区，称谢岭下大队；1961年属竹岭小公社。1978年分出重新设立谢岭下大队，1984年改称谢岭下村。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2024年6月，谢岭下村入选福建省第四批高级版绿盈乡村名单。[1]
