村子周围多竹林，竹林如柄状环绕，村位于竹林边，故名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1950年此地属秀龄乡，称林柄村；1958年划入秀龄管理区，称林柄大队；1961年属秀龄小公所。1980年分出单独设立林柄大队，1984年改称林柄村。[1]
