地名由来[edit]
村名经过几次改动。旧称网底洋，因地形如鱼网的底部而得名；后经村中贤士改为太洪，取村落坐落于五座山之间的「太」字和三条小溪汇合处的「洪」字。两百多年前，有太顺人路过此村，认为此地有机缘，将「洪」字改为「逢」字，遂定名太逢[1]。
人口与交通[edit]
博雅地名网记载全村460户、2460人，未注明统计年份[1]。北部范坑、上白石及寿宁毗邻的村落，其农产品与工业品多在本村集散，本村也是交通要地[2]。
荣誉与沿革[edit]
2014年，太逢村获评福安市级「美丽乡村」[2]。2021年11月，村里获「2021年福建省卫生村」称号[1]。1950年隶属第九区太逢乡，1958年设大队，归上白石公社领导，1969年改由潭头公社管辖，1984年大队改设为村委会，沿用至今[1]。
