建柄村位于潭头镇东北部，村中有建柄、锦桌头和山斗坑三个自然村，西邻上白石镇财洪村，并与潭头镇的西洋境、棠溪、渔溪洋三村接壤[1]。村庄曾名建溪村[1]。

地名由来[edit]

村前的溪坂形似剑柄，后雅化为今名[1]。

地理与人口[edit]

交溪干流由北向南贯穿村境，建柄与锦桌头分处溪流两岸。104国道穿村而过[1]。博雅地名网记载全村290户、1180人，未注明统计年份；村中以林姓、陈姓居多[1]。

沿革[edit]

1950年隶属第九区潭头乡，1958年设大队，归上白石管辖。1969年并入建锦大队，同年又与大庄大队合并，改隶潭头公社；1979年重新分出，恢复建柄大队；1984年大队改设为村委会，沿用至今[1]。

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，村里获「2021年福建省卫生村」称号[1]。
